No start No crank Anti-theft blinking

Hello everyone,

I am trying to start my 2013 manual Gt86 for a couple of weeks at least now.

After 3 days sitting in the car park since I last used it, I came back to find that it wouldn't start... But it did crank only once very briefly when I attempted to turn the key all the way very fast, then nothing.
At first I thought it was the battery then I checked the starter and the wiring and the fuses/relays, tried pushing it and jump starting with cables attached to 2 running cars even.... nothing, no crank.

I just realised yesterday after alot of researched that the anti theft shouldn't blink when the key is turned to the on position.

So now I'm looking at my immobiliser issue here, and by the way the key unlocks and locks the car remotely. Also the steering wheel unlocks with the key.

I left the battery unpluged for a night but still.

I had an engine light coming and going a while ago P0390 for the camshaft position sensor but that shouldn't be the issue here.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated

Thanks

I assume you checked the battery voltage and it's over 24?

Yeah if you can't get it over 14v that battery DED. Should still be able to jump start it though.

Even with a low battery it should crank right? and the anti-theft light isn't supposed to flash...?

My car won't even try even if it's slightly low. It's a 2016 though.

Maybe it wouldn't try to crank true.
I can crank it when I connect a wire from the + of the battey to the starter relay, I tried this also with jumper cables at the same time connected to a running car's battery.

In this case I can only assume the immobiliser system prevents the spark plugs to ignite and/or the fuel pump to work.

Did you change or modify anything prior to the problem?
If won't start with a boost or by pushing it then either the starer battery is completely toast or the key battery is low.
The key battery could have enough juice to pop the locks but not enough to deactivate the mobilizer.

Try changing the battery.

I didn't do any modification, the key seem to have no sign of weak battery as it works fine from a distance of 10m (30ft).

I thought even a completely empty key battery could start the car. I will try to change it though.

A low key battery can do weird and wonderful things. Worth a shot.

Please listen to this. It is such a simple test, hopefully it fixes it
