RR error msg with OTS maps

4 Attachment(s)
Hi all I was trying to play around with OTS maps from openflash with RR, I managed to find RR definition on Github but when I tried to load it I got quite some errors, pls see attached for error msg:
first I got a checksum msg
then quite a lot of errors from different tables (I only put 2)
And I just went to see a simple parameter 'idle ctl' and it was all over the place... (see attached)

Can it be the def file is not correct? Pls help!

you need to use OTS definitions, or modified steve99 's def
do not try to modify that or you re going to brick your ecu if you flash it then

the checksum error is ok and normal, the others are not

Thanks for your reply! Where can I get steve99's def?
Lets say I got a WRONG ecuflash def but the OTS file is ok to use, I just need to load the bin file to ecuflash without touching it and flash it anyway then I will not break my ECU, is that the case?

I am looking for some ecuflash defs for 2017 USDM ZA1JK00C
I am using the one from github which is recommended by the forum but did not work. Pls help!

Use ZA1JK00G roms, definitions its compatible with K00C car ecu , you will have less problems

Thanks Steve!

I was able to see things in their right place now with RR!

However the OTS maps does not provide an ecuflash def... they only have RR def. I tried your rr2ecu application but it did not work on my OTS file. ecuflash does not recognize my def and gimme error msg.

My question is if I use RR to edit and save the bin file, even I had a wrong def at ecuflash, if I do not touch anything, am I good to go with a flash?

use ZA1JK00G tunes and definitions instead will work fine ( dont use K00C)

ecuflash def here for K00G

Thanks again!
However I wish to know why this happen. Is it a problem of my OTS rom or the def? How come the RR2ECU not working on this one?
There is a Cal ID of K00R for MY2017 USDM but no def found... Should I use another one?

Its because oft tunes are calid modified ie a K00R rom would actually be a K00G internally. There are no defs for any manual roms other than K00G , even the K00C once on romraider is in complete

So if I were to flash K00G to my car, will ecuflash allow it even though CALIDs are different?
