What does your user name mean?

As the title says, what does your name mean? Some of them are obvious, others not. So post what yours stands for.

Ill go first.
Midship runabout- Mr2 reference.
Dixie normous (old name)- obvious over compinsating statement.

Dimman 06-07-2011 01:14 AM

Initials of my name, D and M.
Becomes Dim, because although I consider myself to be smart, I do some incredibly not-bright things at times.

And I'm a man.

Dimman.

#87 06-07-2011 01:20 AM

Number eighty seven

NESW20 06-07-2011 01:43 AM

andygee, you put way more thought into yours than i put into mine.

NE - I hail from Nebraska.

SW20 - chassis code for the 2nd generation MR2.

EDIT: andy - unless you're just making stuff up for jokes and your user name is just Andy Gee or something, haha.

Giccin 06-07-2011 02:01 AM

Giccin is a nickname from my game name I used when I played pro gaming. Also comes with Gicco but giccin sounded more feminine for this forum. :>

Gicc-- is short for Giccobie which is my game name. :> And no I did not take this name from that weird demented sick-o from the T.V show "Scar" I had this name for the longest time BEFORE that show was even on.

Lol.

4agze 06-07-2011 02:04 AM

4AGZE its the toyota icon motor & my first real fully build for ground up no help, studied & research it for years & looooovvvvve it.

Exage 06-07-2011 02:34 AM

Comes from the Exige with the i replaced with a.

A Simple, "original" name I created years ago when doing anonymous interactions over the internet. It doubles as Ex-age which turns into something along the lines of Last Age. I do tend to like bits of the "old days" both in spirt and mechanical senses.

Dark 06-07-2011 04:01 AM

"Dark"..... hmmm how to explain that? Dang dang..... ahhh It's Dark. :D

70NYD 06-07-2011 04:23 AM

RWDJunkie 06-07-2011 06:16 AM

Mins is japanese for Shadow. Which is my online alias/gamertag for the longest.

Started off as shadow but switched to Kage(Like a first name) or KageRyu7(full name meaning Shadow Dragon 7) in 6th or 7th grade. Even my license plate is Kage

Snaps 06-07-2011 06:21 AM

Random_Art 06-07-2011 10:38 AM

Random: because it came from my days of table top role playing games back in high school. It just kinda stuck around as a nickname
Art: because I'm an artist.

Jay Grey 06-07-2011 01:16 PM

The name Jay Grey came from a multiple of things.
Jay- Is short term for my name James, cuz I can't f**kin' stand being called Jim or Jimmy.
Grey- It symbolizes my life, with the ups and downs. Its never dull and never bright at times. I get the happy median, sort of standing in the grey fog between darkness and light. Plus its one my favorite colors.

Jay Grey is what people know me as when I perform, its my artist name or alias.

john 06-07-2011 01:24 PM

Mine can't get any more straight forward than it already is. :)

RRnold 06-07-2011 02:35 PM

I could have sworn there was already a thread for s/n.

My name is Arnold and in the sportbike world, the words "race replica" is used alot. Data from the track then trickles down to the production units. I've had the s/n since I got my 05 Kawasaki ZX-6RR and kept it every since. Same with my old Alpinestars suit, it was literally called Alpinestars Race-Replica. :bonk:

A* Race Replica? One hell of a suit, but the price is... sigh

Levi 06-07-2011 04:51 PM

Levi are the four first letters of my family name.

iff2mastamatt 06-07-2011 05:02 PM

:thumbsup:Iff = "if and only if" as used in theorems and math proofs
2= to and my favorite number
masta= short for master
matt= my internet name :)

KutMasta Kurt might have inspired my name... Also, it seemed so unique I don't think many others could think of this name on other forums and etc. Other than that there is really no meaning behind my unnecessarily long username.

I prefer Iff2 for short...

Mine was the 1st gen one and it retailed for $1800 but I was able to get it for 20% off since it was dead stock. The current one goes for $2400 and I don't know how anybody in the right state of mind would dish out $2400 for that suit b/c even at $1800 retail, that's a lot.

It's Alpinestars' flagship suit with a lot of R&D put into it but honestly I think Spidi makes a much better quality suit at a much more resonable price.

aliphian 06-07-2011 05:58 PM

Aliphian was the name I created for my first D&D character. A half-elf psion from Nibenay. I use it online because it is never taken.

Make fun of me all you want, D&D was a lot of fun.

Geez that name is vaguely familiar, and no I don't know what "Scar" is.

And why didn't you just use Gicca?

Honestly Ichitaka I figured that out already :bellyroll:. I know it doesn't count saying it after the fact but I did.

My internet name is actually a generated name from one of the Starwars name generators that starting popping up after Episode 1, not using that horrible addon about the last drug you consumed . I've been using it in some form for 10 years now and I wrote a piddly little C++ program with the exact sequence that I used way back when.

Giccin 06-07-2011 11:24 PM

Gicca sounds lame. Giccin sounds better. :>

bofa 06-09-2011 02:04 PM

You'll have to look mine up on urban dictionary.. but it's a phrase we used quite a few years ago in high school. Then some friends and I used it for our paintball team name. I use it on forums because it's almost always available and has just been habit. Every once in a while I'll encounter another "bofa" and wonder where they picked it up from...

At first I thought you worked for Bank Of America, hence b of a.

bofa 06-09-2011 02:39 PM

Yeah, imagine my reaction every time I see a BofA headline in the news.

Bofa takes a cut...
Government blames BofA...
BofA drops jobless rates...
BofA expanding...
BofA ending hunger...
BofA doubles up...

You get the idea.
