Facelift vs. non-facelift axlebacks

Hey guys,

Quick question: I've seen a few axle-backs mentioned as non-compatible for facelift cars. Why is that so? How do facelifted cars differ from non-facelifted ones from an exhaust standpoint?

Best regards,
Alex

The flange is different on the "facelift"cars. Keep in mind this only applies to axle-back exhaust all Catback exhausts will fit on either cars.

By facelift do you mean my 17 and up?

I own a 2013 FRS. I put a 2017 performance pack BRZ catback on it. Fits perfect. Flange at the axleback is different vs the 2013 exhaust, but the entire exhaust fits. The only thing different is that one flange.
