Catch Can recommendations?
I feel like for a catch can there isn't like a crazy front runner to go with, so what would you folks recommend? Thanks in advance!

Are you turbo/super charged? If yes go ahead
If not, send me $100 and I'll getto rig a Coke can with any cool manufacture logo you want. |
Send me 100 bucks and ill sell you my racer X catch can not even joking.
but yeah a coke can with some wire scrubbies works just fine |
I have been very pleased with the Verus Engineering AOS, in a drain back configuration so there is no need to drain it. It acts as a dual aos setup, and can be heated as well. A bit pricier, but very well designed. As indicated above, unless you track your car, I would not expect it to be needed for stock NA setup but definitely recommend for FI and a must for built engine. For high HP setup, (say above 250whp) I would recommend an adjustable pcv (wagner) valve with a positive (not passive) ventilation setup as well, to ensure the block is well ventilated and does not build pressure in the crankcase.

Hard to pass up that Ferrari logo.

Avoid the cheaper ones. I bought an older unbaffled mishimoto catch can and realized it would be useless, never installed it. No way was I was going to put up with nasty rusting catch-can media / steel wool.
Car consumes only 1/2 quart in 3000 miles unmodified at 120k miles. So I have no need for it. |

I love the fitment of the Radium catch cans. I have the pcv side and it catches some stuff

Hell. I'll even leave the Coke logo on as well. :thanks::bonk: |
The Verus AOS is the best, but it comes in at $550 with the drain kit, cam cover, and coolant add on.
The Radium is probably considered the next best, coming in at $250 with the drain kit. The Racer X is a solid budget option which includes a drain valve for $180. |
Catch can or AOS
Vented or recirculating Drain back or catch. Street car or track car. Motorsport regulations required. Size....from my old CAMS manual 15. if fitted with any crankcase breather discharging to the atmosphere, each breather be vented into a catch tank of minimum capacity of two litres for engines up to 2000cc or three litres for over 2000cc. Regulations for competitions on unsealed surfaces may waive this requirement;" Most of the "shiny brand name" items are rubbish. I've seen $500 brand name "AOS" that were pretty clean on the inside, but, the intercooler was full of oil. Meh, I'm bored |

Had I known what I know now, I would have done this a lot time ago. See an example on my post here: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139784 |
