What's my '13 FR-S worth with bad engine?

I had the valve spring recall done in December and my car suffered internal engine failure about a week ago. Of course Toyota accepts no responsibility and I don't have the time to fight them on it so I'd like to sell it as is. 86k miles and the body and interior are in good shape. Thoughts?

5-8k unless it's in superb condition. Personally, I'd pay 5k for a 13. 14-16 would fetch more for better coilpack design, guaranteed non-affected by recall, etc

Thanks DP7. I'd be perfectly happy with $5k. I bought it new for commuting purposes only. I regret having the valve spring recall done but it is what it is.

It would sell fast for 5k. I've seen wrecked cars for more than $5k.

Swap a new engine for a few k, and someone could have a running, clean title 86 for $7-8k.

Someone could do an engine swap, LS, K, 2JZ, whatever and have a complete car for $5k instead of a wrecked car. If they tore down the engine then they could find a rebuildable block/engine, which could be sold, built or parted.

I've been looking for a candidate to 2jz swap. Where are you located?
