Locked out, can't find a solution

Never had an issue with my locks, was in the car this morning checking the engine, closed it all up, locked the car with the keyless doorhandle lock.
Go to use the car a few hours later and nothing.

Keyless entry doesn't work. FOB makes no sound when trying to lock or unlock. Physical key inside the fob won't unlock the door. Spare FOB/key faces the same issues. Both keys had batteries replaced recently so there's no way it's a case of a flat battery. Regardless the physical key would work if that was the case.

Physical key can unlock my trunk however I have a 2016 Toyota GTS and the trunk release to fold the rear seats i've seen people list as a solution to gain entry is absent from my car in place of buttons accessed through the main interior of the car.

The light is on inside the car so all I can think is that the car locked itself but not fully. I've tried pushing both doors in to make sure they were fully closed but that made no difference.

Anyone know what I can do as I can't find any solutions looking through various threads and trying to find videos?

:(

There is an emergency key in your fob. It can be used to open the door but if your car battery is flat then I'm afraid you'll have jump start the motor.. if the key fob battery is is dead then you can get a new battery..

I've tried the emergency key in both of my FOB's and neither of them will unlock the driver seat door. I can only turn the key about half way. If I try it with any more force than I've tried it just feels like the key will snap off the plastic

I don't think my car battery is dead as the light is on inside the car, however if it was how would I access the battery if the bonnet release is inside the car?

Using it for the first time under "high" stress leads to what you have explained.. ie the key doesn't unlock.. it does work and only requires a quarter turn but I can't remember whether it's clockwise or counterclockwise... Oh, squirt some WD40 into the keyhole as it's probably never been used..

Thanks. Resolved the issue, called out a road side assist who managed to get the door open. It was jammed and required some lubrication and manoeuvring as you said.

Car battery was low but not dead, drove it around and it's fine, will leave it on a recharge overnight.

Interesting revelation for me that the back seat can only be folded from the inside. When I was trying to find an alternate way in every thread/ video I searched for said the rear seats could only be folded through the trunk.

Glad i'm back to driving it and there wasn't a major issue
