CARB legal 2017 forced induction

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Cant seem to find an answer so what kits seem to be carb legal for 2017 and newer. Depending on the sites I've seen maybe the edelbrock kit? Is that the only choice for California?

Thanks,
Jake

Works says they have a kit. And I think Jackson Racing has a CARB kit out now for 2017+. Though is Tennessee a CARB state? If not, but you want to still be emissions conscious, you could install whatever kit you want and just leave the factory exhaust.

I am moving to california most likely in the next year and dont want to have to remove it just to pass smog

Ah. Yeah, Edelbrock, Jackson Racing, or Works are really your only options. :/

Get the JRSC with CARB tune to get the magic CARB sticker. Keep the stock exhaust. Without all stock cats, you will fail no matter what you do.

I have been told (but cannot verify) they cannot tell what tune you are running, so you get a better tune, but you have to buy the CARB tune to get the CARB sticker. Very expensive sticker.

You can do a catback that is sub 95db. Smog guys won't measure the decibels.

@The Racers Line can confirm but I believe Harrop is good for my17+ as well

It’s not CARB legal, but yes, it works on MY17+.

JRSC CARB tune is excellent. I wasted money with another tune (supposedly best place but I will not tell) and went back to JRSC CARB tune.

CARB tune put me at 189 whp. Next tune with new MAF put me at 235, but was terrible at low speeds, parking lots. Then I had it dyno tuned by Bill of Delicious. Now at 240, and very user-friendly at all speeds.

189 whp with carb tune indicates a problem with your engine. I don't believe you got 240 just because of new tune

Nothing wrong with my engine. Tune was very dissapointing. I added new MAF with second tune to 235, and added injectors and fuel pump for final tune to 240.

I also added flex fuel kit(that is why injectors and pump) I'm 310 on e85.

I'm glad the CARB tune is working for you.

If you search you will find all my dyno sheets.
