Fitting an aftermarket head unit to my BRZ inc step by step video
 

Really pleased with the install of the Pioneer SPH-DA130 DAB in my 2013 BRZ. It was super easy to get the stock headunit out and with a little trial and error to get new one in. One thing I noticed is that people are trying to bolt the plastic spacers in between the metal bracket and the headunit, this is incorrect they should go outside the metal side brackets. I'd recommend the JDM Subaru filler panels, they look much nicer than the aftermarket bits:

Great recommendation, if I dont end up fiber glassing the surround, I may go down that route.

not to thread jack but is anyone experiencing issues with their deck losing power upon startup? Mine turns on, then shutdown and then starts up again normally. I've heard its a drop in voltage in the car that causes this and its more common in the push-start models...

there was a thread with a similar issue, but i don't believe there was ever a final result, they just claimed to have fixed it and never gave a solution...
