Gauging interest: No Name Garage NEW86 Parts & Fabrication

Hi everyone :)

While I know that I'm a BRZ owner, and this is the FR-S section of the forum - I know that there's more commotion on the FR-S side of things, so I'll post this here. It brings me great pleasure to announce that I am working on a growing partnership with a local auto fabrication shop right here in the heartland. I'm very much interested in seeing what the aftermarket has to offer for our cars in the coming years, and also dually interested in helping to further new concepts and new products. ;)

A little background:

I've been into AE86s and RWD imports (both European and Eastern) for almost 9 years now. I still own AE86s and adore them - they're a blast to drive and you can do almost anything with them. I'm not any sort of big shot racer and/or drifter, I'm just a guy who likes to drive his fun cars fast. I attend events here and there, and I quite enjoy being out in the country. I adopted a BRZ June 1st, and I see the opportunities that this car has to be rather immense. Plain and simple, I loved the AE86, the new 86 is even better, and I know that saturation of generic parts in the aftermarket aspect of the industry can get to be an issue.

Here's the pitch - I'm going into works with No Name Garage to create a quality product line at reasonable cost. NNG is a smaller independent shop that can more better suit the needs of an individual who is looking to get more than what the the other brands provide, but at a competitive cost. Their background of classic car restoration and IndyCar restoration is respectable and their craftsmanship and fabrication is solid. The folks at NNG are all people like us who love cars and have a passion for driving and improving their car in functional, positive ways.

SO, TL;DR Who is interested in quality-made, competitively priced aftermarket parts for their NEW 86? Think of us as a smaller niche company who caters more to the underdogs than the major players who think life's answer is a 2JZ swap and gobs among gobs of power. While I don't have any photos of our up and coming products yet, they will be rolling in during the coming days and following weeks.

What is everyone interested in seeing the most? We want to hear what the people have to say. Post your thoughts, and for everyone else, if you support a poster's suggestion, thank them.

Happy 86 Day! :)

An aggresively-styled, affordable, Duckbil wing.

This is the closest company to hit it on the nail:

The reason i say this is this: they will sell lit hotcakes (see: Old AE86 TRD-Style Duckbil)! And c'mon people, we can't all afford JDM-Only WALD stuff. I've always said, the first company to make an affordable version of this will be lit in gold.

Couldn't agree more! The AE86 is a different looking car with the big TRD spoiler on it.

Hope you guys do well! I'm glad the community is so progressive already, and the car's been out for less than 6 months! Insane :)

Anyway, I hope you guys can figure out how to make that sweet, sweet wing.
