Tein Flex A vs MCA Street Essentials Elite

Hi there!

Currently looking for coilovers and have narrowed my options down to 2 which fit within my budget accessible from where I live (NZ).

Tein Flex A (non-CSG spec as out of budget after taxes and shipping) and MCA Street Essentials Elite.

I've heard a lot of good feedback about the teins however MCA not so much (Australia based so I can get local support). Despite not hearing much about MCA products, everything I've read about them has been good so far.

I'm looking for a set of coilovers mainly for comfort as my car is my daily driver, however I'd like them to be able to perform well when I bring the car out on back roads and potentially the track once in a while.

Any feedback from experience about those would be great, thanks!

I can tell you Flex-Z is very comfortable at the lower settings. I'm sure the Flex-a is similar with the added hydraulic bumpstop. MCA has a very good reputation as well. Call them up! Ask questions. See if they can convince you to buy their product. They have a rep to uphold.

There's at least 1 or 2 people on here with MCA coilovers. I like the way they do certain things but haven't had the chance to try them myself.

Both are gonna be pretty comfortable on the street. Make sure you set them to no preload, and don't slam your car.

MCA

I'm using their street performance and traction mod.

There was a chalk and cheese difference in comfort and performance between the PP Sachs and these.

Give them a call

And ensuse you adjust the ride height at the spring.....preload = yes
