BRZ/FRS Day - AutoX Event @ Nassau Coliseum 9/2!!!!

Hi everyone! I've just been offered an opportunity to host a BRZ/FRS day at the SCCA New York Region (NYR) autocross event at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY (Long Island) on 9/2. Right now I'm working out the details but my plan is to have special trophies for the top 3 fastest BRZ/FRS times and "fan favorite" car/driver.

We're all basically stock or slightly modified so there is a real opportunity to learn the cars and get some valuable seat time. There will be instructors on site to do ride alongs to teach you proper technique on how to become a fast driver on course. It's a great learning experience for both novice and experienced drivers. It's honestly the most fun you can have legally in a car with pants on...

There will be a lot of different makes/models there as well so bring friends or even if you don't want to run the BRZ/FRS (why wouldn't you) you can take another car.

Online sign up is open on www.motorsportreg.com

COST:
Online Pre-Registration on www.motorsportreg.com :
$35 SCCA members/ $50 non-SCCA members.

On-Site Registration:
$40 SCCA members/$55 non-SCCA members

Save $5 and pre-register!!

Arrive early (around 8:30am) to check in, clean out your trunk, and walk the course a few times. There will be an instructor on site who will do a novice walkthrough to help everyone understand the layout. Everyone sign up for C Stock (CS) if you're stock or Street Touring Xtreme (STX) if you've got an intake, headers, coilovers, etc. We can sort it out on site if you're not sure.

I'll start the list for those who are interested because I'd like to make it a BBQ as well. The more people we know are coming the better.

2. NYRSolo - Jon
3. Engee
4. QuikJ

You should get there around 8:15-8:30 to get checked in and get your car tech inspected. Then you can walk the course a few times and you'll be able to hop on the novice walk where an instructor explains the layout and walks a group through. It usually runs until 4-5 oclock. Bring a cooler with food, drinks, sunscreen, and a foldable chair and you're golden. It's a fun day.

The cost is typically $35 for SCCA members and $50 for non-SCCA members if you sign up online or $40 on site for SCCA members and $55 for non-SCCA members. Everyone sign up for C Stock (CS) if you're stock or Street Touring Xtreme (STX) if you've got an intake, headers, coilovers, etc. We can sort it out on site if you're not sure.

Can we have an outlaw classification for those who want to have more fun without pants on??

Seriously though, this sounds like a blast. My car won't be broken in yet by then, but I'll definitely be looking out for the next event. Enjoy!

I don't see any event on autox4u or motorsport reg for 9/2.
