Weird tick sound came from no where(not a rod knock)

Whenever I accelerate forward or backwards, there's a ticking sound that starts at 1000 to 2500 RPMs, then disappearsnpast 2500 and sounds normal up to redline. If I rev it slow, the tick is not there. If I rev it fast, it's there but disappears at 2500 RPMs.
When I do a cold start every morning, the ticking sound is there, but disappears exactly after 40 seconds every time then sounds normal during idle. I don't have crickets or chirps during idle and my oil level is perfect. My belt is also installed properly. What could this be?!

FRS. 57k miles.

Possibly Exhaust manifold gasket.

You're suggesting I should go under the car/break loose then re torque all exhaust bolts?

check for exhaust leaks, probably at the gaskets on the exhaust manifold, possibly but less likely exhaust manifold has a tiny crack.

re-torquing might fix it, but could be a faulty gasket needing replacement.

is your exhaust manifold stock?

Yes it is stock, and the engine was recently put back, then the sound happened. Then the sound happened. You think the gaskets got fucked during removal? What are the odds?

The odds of the gaskets getting fucked during removal are around 50%. If the mechanic reused the removed gaskets the odds of him being a shitty mechanic is 100%.

Yup sounding more and more like gasket. Its the easiest, cheapest, and quickest fix out of the most likely possibilities. So i would start with that and hope its not the others. Get a new set of gaskets, swap um out. Check torque spec, do at least one full heat cycle, then re torque. If fixed good. If not troubleshoot more.

Bro. First, I just want to say I love you. I just got done putting my tools away. After I removed my skid plate and looked at the manifold. Long and behold, the dealership forgot to put a NUT on one of the attachment points. I can see carbon sepeige from the tiny gap where it's coming from. Went to the shop and grabbed a 14mm nut and put that bad boy in there, torqued ALL 6 attachment points to 25ft lbs and my engine purrs kitten.
Thank you for everything. I owe you one.

Yeah that was a pretty impressive internet diagnosis

No problem. Glad to hear it was easy fix.
