Weird tick sound came from no where(not a rod knock)
Whenever I accelerate forward or backwards, there's a ticking sound that starts at 1000 to 2500 RPMs, then disappearsnpast 2500 and sounds normal up to redline. If I rev it slow, the tick is not there. If I rev it fast, it's there but disappears at 2500 RPMs.
When I do a cold start every morning, the ticking sound is there, but disappears exactly after 40 seconds every time then sounds normal during idle. I don't have crickets or chirps during idle and my oil level is perfect. My belt is also installed properly. What could this be?! FRS. 57k miles. |

re-torquing might fix it, but could be a faulty gasket needing replacement. is your exhaust manifold stock? |
