Last Day With My BRZ
Five and a half years ago, I bought the best driving car I have ever owned. It’s been there through multiple road trips, track days, the adoption of two fur-babies (and all the adventures that came from them), an engagement and a wedding. With a tear in my eye, it’s with great sadness that I part with my beloved BRZ. It’s never left me stranded and never failed to bring a smile to my face. I hope it’s next owner cherishes it as much as I do.
Unfortunately adult life requires me to purchase a more practical vehicle, and As much as my wife and I have tried, we can’t afford to maintain and insure two cars. She is now back to stock, and awaiting to be traded in tomorrow. I’m going to miss her. I wanted to thank the community here for the endless advice, DIY instructions, debate, conversations and most of all the friendships I’ve gained. Who knows, perhaps one day, I’ll be back. Cheers. https://i.imgur.com/WIWN4eP.jpg |

Just saying that because I looked up the cost of living where you are, so hope this loss will be worth it in the long run for you. |
I feel ya! Even though I am just getting another one writing up the for sale thread for the Lava was rough.

Best of luck. What are you eyeing? There is always the used market in the future. I believe these are going to have staying power as cheap track cars like a Miata and few other mainstay track cars that are cheap to run and maintain.

Seriously, I thought I was doing the adult thing years ago when I got rid of my Evo, still regret it. Keep the woman and car you love. Ride or die. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk |
Full lock, do mad skids, post video...........after the sale has gone thru......or it just me???

prefer stock
I gotta say, I prefer the back to stock pic better! The done up one looks like the girls you see hanging around backstage at a rock show. :laughabove:

I agree. I’m currently looking to make a career change that will bring me somewhere that has a lower cost of living. Cost wasn’t the only issue. I live in Canada and a lowered twin can handle snow. Just not the front bumper or the lip. Quote:
My wife and I will be replacing the BRZ with a Subaru Crosstrek. We needed a car that could go camping and handle snow well (better than the BRZ could anyways). Also, I feel safer knowing my wife has all the driver assist features that come in newer cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Woman don't need no ADAS. Get a used STI.

Good luck with next stages of your life! There will be more cars in your future. VW GTIs can be decent family rides. Just get the platinum service contract.
And there will come a time way off in the future when the kids are gone and you get the itch and your wife says “sure, go for it”. And you will. |
Sounds like you fully enjoyed your BRZ while you had it! They're great cars. Hope you can get back in one someday.
