Ignition help

Hi All, Will try to make this as short as possible bare with me, My son bought a 2013 Toyota 86 gt nice car his first real investment as an adult.
Had it all of a month and it was stolen, missing for about six weeks and we finally get a call from the police, car has been found dumped in bushland.
Car is trashed wiring all ripped out seats slashed ect etc, we finally get the car back from the impound i have spent 2 weeks working on it, besides the visual damage the car seems to be mechanically sound.
Now i have put a new battery in key still turns on fine even thou barrel is damaged but car still wont start has all dash light and relays click like its going to start but doesn't.
Okay so here is where we get to the good stuff the ignition control module is damaged, I'm guessing this has a lot to do with why the car wont start.
So the question i have for all you guys that have a bit of knowledge about the ICM is can i just get another or is it somehow linked into the key fob and the ECU and what would be the best way to go from here:thanks:
