Door Sill padding coming off
Not sure what the correct terminology is, so forgive me if my thread title is misleading.
My backseats are used daily. i noticed in the door sill area, the rubber part (i think its rubber) seems to not be as secured down in the rear corner like it use to be. So i was wondering if anyone knows how to possible remove / and reinstall these? I tried just pushing it down into place but thats not working. I know these parts should be removeable. So im thinking i just need to readjust and snap them back into place. I could be wrong. I'm also sure this is probably user error due to kid and wife not paying as much attention. Any help or thoughts would be great! http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...7-29172921.jpg Yea picture is showing how dirty my car is when i took it. |
Since when my car was brand new, I noticed this plastic piece on the driver side is loose compared to the passenger side. The driver side is somewhat floating in the air and wouldn't stick on firmly. No one ever sat on the back of driver side and I haven't even moved the driver seat forward either.
Do you know if yours was like that from when it was brand new? |
Wasn't like this when i first got the car and did my check around the car.
This is on my passenger side. |
Rip the whole thing off and check for a missing plastic pin, there should be a few of them and it will be obvious if one is missing or damaged. I bet it was either left off at the factory or damaged when they tried to pop it in.

I have this problem and my back seats are used multiple times a week, too

The car is under warranty...don't pull it apart...make the dealer do it. I would clean up the scuffs and dirt first though.
