Is there a high mileage thread for BRZ?

I see there is one for FRS, I am wondering if there is one for BRZ?

I searched, did not find anything promising. Any help? I am hitting 50k next week. I know it is not a lot. But it is a milestone for me. So what to post it somewhere. Thanks.

Mine is just a hair under 133k miles.

I hit 50K like 2 weeks ago or something. I have my thing showing the temperature instead of miles because I don’t really care at this point lol

I think the BRZ crowd just hangs out with us FRS peasants in the other thread.

175k here

50K on a 15? You haven't even broke it in yet.

Nice. I am jealous of you! Anybody can beat this record?

Yeah can’t believe I used to think I was putting too many miles on it when I first got it. Now the outside temperature is more important than odometer reading

I drive almost 100 miles a day for work, and this is since I got the car in 2013 which is why my miles are so high. Initially I thought about getting a beater to keep the miles down but then I thought why bother. I would rather not care about miles and enjoy the car every day than drive it sparingly to keep the odometer down. If you love the car, don't worry about resale value, just enjoy it. I change the oil every 7000 miles (OEM oil filters, Mobil 1 0w20) and have had minimal issues. It still sounds and feels as powerful as day 1. Been running an OFT stage 2 tune since around 40k.

Issues so far:
1. Replaced clutch at 100k due to throw-out bearing failure
2. Replaced 1 wheel bearing at around 150k
3. My throw out bearing is starting to make noise again at 175k. For anyone who is prepping for a TOB/clutch replacement and are going with an Exedy OEM replacement clutch, buy the latest revision of the throw out bearing from Toyota and have the shop use that. PN SU003-07349

Still on original front brake pads.

This car has treated me well. I will likely be moving on to a 2018 BMW M2 or 2021 Audi S3 this spring/summer. Not sure if I am going to keep the BRZ as a backup, or hand it off to my nephew who has had his eye on it.

I bought mine when it had 95k. It’s a 2013 too. I’m just a glutton for punishment.

107k now, woot.

So for each TOB job, what parts are recommended to be changed as a complete package? TOB, clutch, flywheel? Anything else? If this has to be done each 100k miles, it's more than a typical timing belt job. What sucks is that I can do the TB job, but not the TOB job.

141k miles here, no issues except for my mystery clunk

If you can do a timing belt you can do a TOB easily.

We don't have timing belts in our cars BTW

I’m only at 81k but car is holding up well. Even after being oil starved under load.

It's a timing chain so it should last the life of the car.

The labor is a little pricey so to me it is worth replacing the clutch + TOB when only the TOB needs replacement. My flywheel was machined, not replaced the last time I had my clutch done. Local performance shop did everything for $1100, including the parts.
