Catch can recommendations for Vortech supercharged?
 

I was looking at the Radium dual kit but $400 seems like a ton of money for this sort of thing and I could buy a pair of basic universal Mishimoto cans for like $200 and just figure out the plumbing and mounting myself.

I bought the car with the SC kit and a full exhaust installed by the previous owner, but no other supporting mods done. This is not a track car though and will never see much more than highway pulls and some light touge type driving. I'm spending this winter bulletproofing it (catch cans, radiator, cam plate) in preparation for a small pulley and professional tune.

The mishimoto or ebay replicas will do the job for a supercharger. If money is an issue look at the racerx ones.

At minimum do one off the PCV. You might piece one together for less but there might be less quality too. I went cheaper with something on Amazon, and I question the quality. It catches stuff, but it isn’t perfect because the seals and connections aren’t perfect. I added baffling by putting steel wool in mine for increased surface area. It is probably an area where I will upgrade in the future, but at least it is working for now.

I'm a fan of the radium setup, one catches a good bit, never had to empty the second one.

I run radium single catch can with sti pcv valve. The other side i just VTA with a hose and small filter on it.

Which one is the one that is actually catching a lot? I have a pair of basic cans on the way to try out and the PCV side seems easy enough but I couldn't find any information on doing the other side in terms of what hoses go where. If that one isn't really useful I'll probably just leave it alone and save the extra can for another car.


I'm also a fan of the Radium set up but it's a lot of money and pretty overkill for my car.
