Annex Suspension coilovers?

86Drive Challenge just announced that Annex Suspension is an official sponsor in 2020: https://www.instagram.com/p/B76i-CDnVGh/

On their website, they claim the following about the BRZ spec model:
Quote:

"Designed on the principle that a sports car doesn’t have to ride harsh or uncomfortably to still perform when pushed to its limits. That means whether you are getting to the track, chasing times on course or picking up your date after, FastRoad Pro™ coilovers will all ways keep you composed."
Couldn't easily find any info on these on this forum.
Any opinions?

looks like they just came out with their suspension for our cars, so you won't find anything about that.
They aren't very big on any actual details in anything they do. They seem to generalize and say all the right things, but not give any concrete data on anything. I do like what they say.
First ig post was April 5, 2018. First facebook post was September 29, 2018.
So a newer company that does say all the right things.

We will see if their product backs up their words.

Looks like another BC based monotube like fortune Auto, feal, Meister, Megan, Godspeed, etc etc

Could be pretty ok for the price. Hopefully the extra money goes into the damper and not into slightly nicer looking hardware.

I have a friend that uses them and is very happy with em. His car is track only and he can drive.

Definitely want to hear/see more about their valving. Looks like they do offer digressive for the S2000.

I cannot go into detail so I really hope the ones who get the first round of suspension soon can come give first hand feedback.

I have done ride alongs and was super impressed with how it handled. I have driven on Feal, AST, Flex Z, and Fortune Auto while riding in cars with Flex A and SRC. If I had the money I would buy Annex. Stupid wedding is getting in the way though, for now lol.

Interesting. Looks like they’re possibly using the new 44mm digressive piston from BC, by the silver body in place of the standard black/46mm on the BR model. Could be promising.

Virtually all dampers on the market are "digressive".

Nailed it.

Phew! I'm glad somebody else noticed this. I thought I was seeing deja vu all over again (Got to love Yogi!) I look at some of these and think "Hey, that looks like the BC one, just with different colors. I wonder if it's just a re-branded BC?"

I also can't imagine that all these small-looking companies have the backing to design and to manufacture their own parts.

I've been tempted to ask them before buying: show me some pictures of your manufacturing shop floor.

I don't have a problem with somebody, like CSG, speccing their own version from an OEM, as long as they just own up to it.

I'll let them elaborate, but the fastroad pro is their street setup. We have been developing a ClubSpec Pro system with them that is more oriented toward a track application than street. They have been doing a ton of testing and data collection on 2 cars that compete in 86DRIVE Challenge. One is largely stock and uses lower grip tires while the other is more of a dedicated track build with aero and the latest batch of hot 100/200tw tires. They have been testing different valving and shim stacks to find a setup that works for both types of tires and are valving based on what your setup is. Again, I'll let them elaborate on more of the technical aspects, but rest assured these are well tested and perform very well.

If I was a vendor I'd be very weary of someone like CSG_Mike making those assumptions, like it or not his opinion carry a lot of weight with a lot of the track/performance oriented guys here.
On the other hand if his assumptions are correct well then hats off to his keen eye and we all appreciate him calling a spade a spade.

Results will speak for themselves. Those following the development know what it is and the results people are getting. Also the lengths Annex is going through to get the product that is here.

Neat, where are their parts made?

fwiw I'm happy with my custom valved Megan's, good performance on a budget.
