GT DRL/GTS Fog lights
 

Hello folks,

I personally don't like the appearance of the DRL's/Fog lights on the 86. I prefer the Scion look, with just plastic inserts down there.

Has anyone though about taking theirs out?

As far as I understand, DRL's are not compulsory in Aus (http://www.racq.com.au/motoring/cars...running_lights) so there would be no probem from the legal perspective.

While on the topic of mods, has anyone succesfully removed the piston emblem from the side of their 86? Really not a fan, would prefer a clean look.

I just realized I missed the 86 logo solution. Will send you another PM. But that's a solution from a different supplier anyway.

I'm thinking of removing the DRLs from my GT and running brake ducts.

Hey any of you guys that want the Scion USDM cover for these Fogs let me know I'll trade up with you :D Lets make it a good deal for both of us. Pretty much impossible to get fogs for the USDM model right now.

To get a clean look you'll need the BRZ side fender inserts as the 86 logo is actually sitting in a raised "holder" type thing..

having said that there's plenty on ebay.

^^ The real issue is the paint match, the ones that are not factory side insterts will not match the original paint.

Will be easier to swap with a fellow BRZ owner.

How many BRZ owners in his appropriate colour of choice you think are going to want 86 emblems on their side fenders?? :bonk:
