Does anyone know where to get spring clamps?
So I'm getting rid of my Perrin inlet hose and I'll need a spring clamp for the PCV. Does anyone know where I'd get them?
Also, does anyone know a good way to remove the PCV from the inlet hose? Its on really tight. https://i.imgur.com/Q3VgKuP.jpg |
Not sure about sourcing spring clamps, but for getting out the PCV (that's not a PCV valve, its an open elbow fresh air intake for the PCV system. Symantics.), take a small right angle pick and carefully insert and run it around circumference of the valve between valve and intake to unstick the silicone.
Should come out with some twisting after that. I use that trick for coolant hoses too when they don't wanna pop. If you can't find the spring clamps, and don't want to chew up the intake with a normal hose clamp, pick up some lined clamps. Good luck! |
check at the local hardware store in the small engine section, or small engine repair shop. that's a very common small engine fuel line fitting.

It is such a pain looking around for parts. I wish the Subaru would make it easy to get parts. Like make a parts manual available and maybe talk their dealers into selling those parts. One of these days you may even be able to buy parts on line!

Like literally any auto parts store or hardware store.
Removing the hose, hold on to it, wiggle it in a circular motion. |
