After driving my friend's BRZ I knew I had to have one of these cars. I love the look of the Lexus LFA but I could never afford one. So I guess this is my poor mans LFA.

This will be my first manual car as well and I'm coming along nicely. My current car is a 2011 heavily modified V6 Mustang as seen below. I'm currently working on selling it.

At this point I've got about 175 miles on the car and loving it. My girlfriend likes my Mustang more but hopefully once I can get past 4,000 rpm she'll change her mind.

I currently plan to keep it bone stock. I want this car to last as long as it can. The mods I'd like to do are simple lighting mods. The rear nonfunctional light, LEDs on the interior, and possibly HIDs if I feel like it needs more light at night.

Buying the car was pretty incredible. I wanted a white out FR-S. I would not settle for any other color. They were hard to come by in Houston. After talking to some dealers whom all said they either couldn't get the car, or getting white out was going to take months I found the car.

It started with an Autotrader search. I was bored at work and just wanted to see where they were in the US. Washington state, Maine, then bam, it hit me. There was a White out, manual transmission, one mile away. I said out-loud "Bullshit". A bait and switch. I called the dealer and he swore it was there and not sold. So I just wanted to see the car. Big mistake.

I get there and I knew it was mine. I didn't even take it on a test drive. I bought it on the spot and that's the story of how I got my Whiteout FR-S.

Going "just to look" is a dangerous phrase, haha.

Congrats!

My first visual mod. Replaced the ugly stock exhaust tips with some DC Sport 1013. I felt like a tool walking out of Advanced Auto parts with these but they are as close to JDM as I can get for $45.

With my friends help I also deleted the sound generator which helped cut down on cabin noise drastically. Tomorrow I'm going to the dealer to tweak some ECU things and delete the DRLs.

poor mans LFA ?oh yeah~

I also got mine without test driving haha. I only sat in one a few months back so I know I was comfortable and after all the reviews, I knew it was gonna be great.

Hit a somewhat big milestone today. It's hard to tell because of the glare but 1,001 miles on the car. The clutch is still so grabby it's awful. Driving my friends brz is like night and day in terms of race car like grab and smooth city driving. I hope mine gets like that soon. I have to struggle to shift smoothly.

It's been a while. Lowered on Hotchkis springs. I've ridden in a lot of different lowered cars and I think this is the best kit for the stock dampers.

Nice wheels! So have you gotten use to the clutch yet?

It was all a matter of getting use to the feel right?

Aftermarket exhaust helped. It's amazing how quiet the engine is stock.
