Which Coilovers to purchase 1500 Budget.
My only concern is comfort and having a tad of low. My BRZ is my daily.
Any information is greatly appreciated. |
BC Racing BR coilovers. I’m rocking them, they’re great. Completely dropped[emoji3]

do you want new or used. you can get a set of slightly used (5kmiles) coils for 1000 that were new 1500-2000. especially if ur in cal. the used marketplace there is poppin

lowering springs

I got a set of coils and camber plates for 2000. Good travel. Gest adjustment and the spring rates won't kill your back but they can double duty for track and autox. Whiteline maxg

I have STi springs on Bilstein B6 dampers with Pedders front Top hats ~ $1250 brand new.
It is so comfortable to daily drive. It soaks up all the crappy roads around me and provides a pretty decent level of performance. The springs will only lower the car 10mm, so it may not be ideal if you’re looking for the super low. But this also means you have more travel than nearly all other springs which imo is critical to comfort on this chassis. For track this setup isn’t the best due to soft and progressive spring rates, but it’s not bad at all. |
BC Racing BR coils for about 2 years so far and love it!
+ Great for daily driving, depending on spring rates. + Gives more clearance for aftermarket wheels. + Can adjust preload, height, and dampening however you like. You may need to get some aftermarket LCA's/Camber bolts to have proper camber |
The 2 best options in that price range are Racecomp Engineering Superstreet-1 and Counterspace Garage Spec Tein Flex-A.

How low is a tad low? RCE, TRD, or Swift Sport Springs on OEM or Bilstein struts would be great in the budget range. The 2 options @Infinity gave are great, though I would get the standard flex A over the CSG spec for a DD. ST coilovers would be good too for daily driving only.

KW V1, ST XTA, or RCE Superstreet 1 (all kw variants) on stock top hats for comfort and slight lowering.
If you aren't looking to go wider than 8.5" wide wheels, then i recommend stock top hats with Bilstein B8 shocks on 1" lowering springs such as RCE Yellow or B6 on stock springs for normal ride height. |

Not compared to anything. They’re just perfect for adjustment, and as for camber; they create PLENTY of it when slammed. I am however, converting to air if that’s something you’re interested in. Definitely over the budget, but might be worth it, I have an issue getting over speed bumps and the like. So parked I can slam the car and driving I can raise it, all from the press of a button, if I don’t like the drive on track or even on fast roads, I can always convert back and keep them for show days and whatnot. One more thing, the rebound on these coils is second to none. Spot on adjustment, perfect round fast bends, just don’t put them too stiff or you’ll hop round the bends. That’s what used to happen to me, no understeer and no oversteer, just hopping. Not ideal really but sets off your LSD so loss in power round bends is annoying. |
