Need wheel setup advice
I’m looking for a cost effective method of get a flush fitment with my wheel setup. My current setup is Oz ultralaggera 17x8 +48 wrapped in Michelin pilot super sport 235/45 r17 I am lowered on Eibach springs with a 1.25 drop, I have 25mm spacers in the rear with a few degrees of camber. My front is where I am undecided on what route to go. I’ve explored using a 25mm spacer but with the current tires setup it pokes a little too much in the front, I was considering getting some camber bolts but was curious if that would even work well with the setup. Another option I have tried was a 20mm spacer, this didn’t work out well for me, my rims do not have the inner pockets to support spacers of that size. I even considered cutting down the stock studs to see about getting the rim to sit flush with the adapter but I’m hesitant because what if the lugs that come with the adapter poke out after I trim the stud then I have to replace the studs I cut. One other option I have yet to try is extended arp studs with a 10mm or 15mm spacer. I do plan on getting coilovers in the near future so if I can get any feed back on what would be a good option for the setup that would be greatly appreciated.

What about use those camber bolts set to match close to the -2 the rear probably has from using the lowering springs, then 20mm slip on spacer in front with extended ARP studs.
I have TRD springs(same drop as the Eibach), camber bolts so the front is -1.8 to the -2 rear and got the ARP extended studs for front and back but I'm using 10mm front and 15 rear slip on spacers. My wheels are +35 though. It's pretty much a perfect fit and between your wider tires but higher offset it would be almost the same great look. Did you play around with the wheel/tire thing here: https://www.ft86motorsports.com/wheelitfit/ If you go extended studs with my method there you wouldn't need the 3" long ones but probably just the 2.535". Regular length closed ended lugs will bottom out on both the 2.535 and 3" ones though. 2.25" would probably work perfect with the regular closed ended lugs but if I remember correctly ARP goes from the stock length 1.75" and jumps up to that 2.535 one. I wanted closed ended to keep junk off the threads so I used Gorilla extended closed ended lugs. |
