4th brake light

Has anyone had any experience with the GCS 4th brake light? Really like the f1 style flashing brake light and saw that these were one of the only guys that have it for my brz. If there are any other ones out there please let me know

there's plenty of aftermarket flasher modules available just about everywhere that can do the same functionality.

many dealers install them on new vehicles as a money-grab(despite the fact they they're illegal).

If you are talking about the little triangle on the bumper, IJDMTOY (you can find it on amazon) has one with a Nice brake and tail light function with strobe effect.
I did the installation my self and it turned out very nice

I purchased a 4th brake light. Then I wired in some flasher relays to my 3rd and 4th so it'll do quick flashes, then slow to solid. like Busybee's video.

Was $3 for the flasher relays.

I got the LED brake light and the strobe controller separate. The link for both of them is below.

Meanwhile IJDMTOY also sells the same light with the strobe attached. I think it was a little more expensive and the reviews without the strobe were better. At the end of the day I realized that almost all of the strobes are coming from the same place :)
Use which ever you want. Good luck!

Would you help with the wiring? I have 2020 BRZ tS and when I connect the tail light along with the brake light and the strobe module the strobe brake doesn’t work properly. When disconnect tail light wire. Strobe light works fine…There are a people saying that I need diode to but also some saying I don’t… Please help

Hi,

I had the same problem until I solved the issue with a diode. It should be a one way diode (got it from micro center - a pack of 120 or something).

Check my IJDMTOY link on amazon above! The first Review on the product is mine (Busybeeerc) with video, drawing and some pictures. It also has a write up of my wiring.

Just found this! That’s how I wired it. I used the 1A diode that I got from micro center.

Sorry for the write up. Added the English.

Hope it helps

Thanks Busybee,
Part of the problem is that there is so much inconsistency in the whole thing. For instance on the light that I received the blue wire is marked with “++” and red with “+”. But also there are so many different opinions and videos and they and what one claims to work the other one is swearing not etc. I almost give up on the running light and as of now I only have the brake with the strobe module wired. It kind of bugs me that I’m using the tail light capability. I sure gonna try the diode version of the wiring and hopefully I don’t cause a short or any thing else starts to malfunctioning . Cheers.
