In the pre-facelift, all the colours were available on both 86 and BRZ in Australia except WRB which was exclusive to Subi and Velocity orange (Lava?) which was exclusive to Toyota.

Can on the Canada site as well. Ironically the first picture they have is a red one.
Either they just have not bothered to close the page out or hope people will configure and then go to a dealer where they can say "Oh you can't build them anymore but if you come over he=re and look at this one..."
I am guessing the later since anything to get you into the dealership in the first place helps make a sale.

Come for the BRZ, leave with a WRX! I can't tell the difference, same car, right? :D

Take a look at this nice Legacy over here. Same steering rack and much more practical.

That is why I did not test drive when I bought mine

On the Southeast Toyota site (a different franchise than the rest of the US for Toyota), you can configure and search for a red AT, but the MT configuration shows red (Ablaze) and gray (Pavement) out of inventory.

If I change the MT zip code to somewhere outside Southeast Toyota, everything except Neptune and Steel are shown as out of Inventory. AT shows all colors.

Searches on the site for "local inventory" basically prove that out.

They initially didn't offer red (I got mine in July 2013).
So we were both/all right!

Schrodinger's Red BRZ ftw.

That's one of the reasons I bought an FR-S in 2012 instead of a BRZ. Red was not available on the Subaru at that time. At least, not in Canada. I think it was available in the States in 2012 though. Long time ago so I may be misremembering it.

Why would you bump this? The only thing that was close is that it is a 2.4 block. It isn't even the engine from the ascent. Nothing else your "insider" said is even remotely accurate.

But it certainly got your attention, as you're all over this thread since it's creation

Oh wow, I just noticed you have almost 64,000 posts?! Do you even have a life outside of this forum? That's actually quite depressing. Go outside sometime and get some sun [emoji41]
