I always update my V1 and even selected FR-S or BRZ but it still shows the ferrari one.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. It was that way when I got so, unfortunately, I can't tell you how to reproduce it. Sorry.

Did some searching but can't seem to find the answer...aside of additional data logging, screen resolution, etc. what's the difference between v1 and v2?

Initial loading time of the tablet and installing/changing tunes are much faster. But, feature-wise, it is the same.
