why ZA1JB01C ZA1JA01C

HI ALL

IF ZA1JA01C IS COMPATIBLE WITH ZA1JB01C AND MANY MORE
WHY OFT OR ECUTEK UPDATE ALL CID'S ONE BY ONE ??:iono:
I MEAN WHY NOT BE FOR EXAMPLE :ZA1JB01C ONE ROM COMPATIBLE WITH ALL ROMS THAT CAN BE DOWNLOAD TO ALL COMPATIBLES ECU'S ???

To understand who they are like you:party0030:

While may roms are compatavle their are differnces. Usa roms have evap systwm pressure input where europe and australia do not. The engine will run but it will throw cel codes.

Its safer for conpaies like ecutek to use the same rom that cam out of car originally to tune car. Even though thier may be compatable roms. It would take too lng to test compatability on each rom

Some roms are also factory updates example

400C, 700C A00C, A01C, B00C and B01C were all updates , so the best rom to run is latest update in tgis case B01C if your USA manual car same in australia but rom series was 700G, 00G, A01G A02G

Some roms are backwads compatable some are not for example you xan run A01G in a D00G car but not the other way round

Do you know if Japanese ROMs are compatible with EU cars?

Do you really want a speed limiter of 185 km/h and cruise control that works only untill 112km/h?

If you now have Q00G, you could upgrade to S20G, that s the latest for eu cars

The "tune" in all the different regions is basicly same afr, timing ,cam timing. The only differences appear to be due to different emmissions requirement or like tom said speed limiters or other fairly insignificant changes. That is theirs unlikely to be any power advantage using a different stock rom from a different region as their all pretty well same tuning for roms that would work in your car.

Note none of the pre 2017 roms are compatable wirh 2017+ cars as their was security system changes car just wont start, also engine differences means slightly different tuning required

tomm.brz 12-01-2019 05:47 AM

Apparently in the S20G cal id, latest EU 19 rom, they added the "power AFR target" table like US e JDM roms, at least, it s there but don t know if it s actually in use, but the cat temp trigger for it it's still not defined

Another reason to downgrade to the great defined and stable K00G if one has a latest EU car

gpvecchi 12-01-2019 05:52 AM

Actually I'm converting the car to JDM specs (final drìve, red manifold and intake, and header), so I prefer to flash a full ROM, for the gear indicator and the completely different AFR...

tomm.brz 12-01-2019 05:56 AM

But then you have 185 km h limiter, unless you modify it but you can t with techstream

You would need also their header exhaust since they are very different and require cam timing modification, EU roms for example have 30-35 of retard at 4600rpm, JDM have 10...totally different tune and you need the new exhaust
Also seems a bit more aggressive the JDM tuning, afr e timing wise

The OP is just out of tune!!

tomm.brz 12-01-2019 07:37 AM

I think gpvecchi s car is a Manual my19 with Q00G

Maybe best tune if you change all those things and want to flash OEM tunes only, would be one of the latest Austrqlian tunes

Xinnie 12-02-2019 04:34 AM

What's the difference between US and EU rom ?

tomm.brz 12-02-2019 04:37 AM

Us roms after 2017 have a different logic that uses different AFR targets based mostly on catalyst temp
Also (and that s for all the model years) have the evap input actually used and calculate atmospheric pressure in a different way
Also the cold start is set up differently
