Anyone running -3/-4 front camber in stock body? Wheel fitment question.
 

So I recently picked up a 2013 FRS turbo as a second drift car. I’ve read through hundreds of wheel posts, and I totally understand what fits under stock body. The place where I get a little lost is when it comes to adding steering and camber. I’m installing a drift knuckles angle kit, and expect 60 degrees of steering. Work wheels japan tells me that a 18x9.5 +38 is the perfect “fittment”, but the owner of DK says that’s too big for the added angle. He suggests running a 18x8, but wasn’t sure of the offset. “Most customers on stock wheels run a 30-35mm spacer.”

That being said, I need to figure in the amount of “sink” -4 degrees will make. I’m leaning heavily towards 18x8 +20, but it’s really just a guess. I was hoping someone with a similar camber setup share their wheel specs. I’d hate to special order a set of wheels from japan and be wrong! �� Rear is already decided 18x9.5 +38 at 0 camber.

Edit: I should also mention ride height. I will have it set up so that from the side of the car the fender line will JUST touch the highest part of the tire. Car will be low, but no tuck.

At full lock on 17x9 +35 and -5 camber, wheels the tire is barely in contact with the body in the front (front inside). No issues on the rear side of the front tires but I do have aftermarket endlinks, swaybars and coilovers. You probably wont be able to use the extra steering angle, with or wihout the camber. I think the DK dude is right in running spacers for it.

The camber won’t add wheel steering clearance. I was more asking if at -4 camber, what offset puts the upper rim back flush with the fender again. Do you happen to have a pic of your fronts? If I know what offset puts the face/upper lip flush I can work backwards off of that. Work wheels and the forums here seem to agree that 9.5 +38 is perfect at 0 camber. Adding camber pulls the top of the wheel in though. I’m going to run an 8 +? at -4ish. Super hard to calculate it with so many variables. Having a custom offset made so I’m trying to dial it in.

I am running 17x9 +35 RPF1's with a 15mm slip on spacer with -4.0 Degrees of camber in the front. This is on stock suspension...
