Spirit's FR-S RS 2.0
Hi, I'm Spirit. I've owned this car since new. I traded in my beloved '07 STi in SWP w/ gold BBS to get into my first RWD and brand new car. I have some spicy plans for this car. Stay tuned

New pictures from NJMP, the car looks like this but with TRD Dry Carbon Fender Fins now.

Utilizing OEM Fog Light Cover (Pass. Side) as duct for HKS Oil Cooler https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...368a8339_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...36e2809c_b.jpg Ordered these from Pegasus and then proceeded to apply a few coats of satin black paint layered with additional coats of clearcoat to protect it from road debris. |
Cleaned up the original post! The specs are up to date and pretty much will stay this way until I get some seat time this upcoming HPDE season. I'll finally be going to install the HKS turbo kit once I get familiar with the car in NA format. If anything, I will be ordering an Essex/AP Racing front BBK at some point in the near future with new rear slotted rotors.
I'm not running any front turn signals as I'm running blank replacements I bought from Japan. Rather than modifying my stock turn signals, I replaced them with blanks altogether and turn headlights with turn signals integrated in the housings. Ordered Valenti LED Headlights with Black housing but they told me they were out of stock :( They did have one last set of the headlights with Chrome housing and I'm not about that life. I would most likely take them apart and get them painted with black internals and honestly that's too much work/time, esp after an initial $1K+ for the product + DHL overnight fee. With that being said, I decided to go with the kouki '17+ 86 headlights. *Edit* I ordered and installed everything I thought would be an issue while tracking the car so pretty much future proofing my car from the incoming abuse it will endure. I gave proper attention to the cooling system: engine oil cooler, radiator, hoses, shroud, and fans. Last thing on this front I need to order and install are vented Beatrush underpanel. I also had my friend who owns a shop, flush my driveline fluids with Motul. Since new, the transmission only grinded twice, both times in 2nd gear. Initially after the flush, I did not feel anything substantial but over time I definitely feel like the engagement feels better. |
Picked up something back in 2017 that matched the embroidery of the interior. It's a genuine TRD product too :o

I'm almost OCD like about my car as many of you are. I don't drive my car when the weather is bad outside (too windy, raining, snowing, etc.) and always garaged, preferably away from entrance gates. Is it just me or does it actually look so good in the wet or when it's out and about?
This was in June 2019, before the TRD dry carbon fender fins, HKS oil cooler + OEM fog light cover duct on passenger side, turn signal delete blanks, and OEM D4S mirror caps. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...b5f22018_c.jpg |
Aug/Sept of 2019, I FINALLY got a chance to park next to a T4R TRD Pro in Quicksand.
I always thought Lunar Storm/Desert Khaki and Quicksand for T4R TRD Pro were identical but now that I have pictures of them together side by side. I can confirm with my own eyes that they are completely different. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...2af4ea20_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...db87a305_b.jpg |
That's an incredibly beautiful FR-S...and that 4Runner in the back is just as beautiful
|
Turbo/HKS goodies on yet?
