Your tires look like they are one hard turn from debeading from your wheels. I would get wider tires to prevent an accident.

it’s stretched, i don’t drive my car like a race car or i would’ve done a meaty setup with 9.5’s

Even without driving super aggressive with that much stretch you still run a high risk of the tire debeading. All it takes is a decent dip mid corner and your tire is no longer attached to the wheel. Just food for thought.

You're almost there. Looks dangerous, living life on the edge..

How can a header be not allowed in CA but this is? This can kill you or others around you.

Here that would get you defected, with good reason.

9.5" rim minimum tyre is around 245/50 isn't it??

With 265/40 being measured and max???

Meh, kids these days

How much do they charge to mount those? Do they have special trick to make it seat?

regular price to mount any tire wherever u go, and i don’t know i guess they center the tire in the rim, let it fill up with air and then it stretches itself out

Yeap, illegal to fit thar size on those rims here, also shop would get fined for fitting if they did.

Good law to protect the sane from the, ummm, not so sane..

Man, what the hell? Let people do what they want with their car. Not everyone that drives this car is into the handling, analog, true sports car, wannabe-racecar-driver elitist crap. Lots of people are just satisfied owning a good looking car.

DandoX 12-02-2019 08:18 PM

@mcnvgget

Nice looking car, take good care of her. Since your posting a look at my car thread I gotta drop my 2 cents.

First questionable decal on the rear window but that is totally subjective and if you enjoy it power to ya. Second I also would be a little worried about how much your stretching your tires over that huge wheel, I say either pony up for the fancy tire to sport that wheel or swap back to normal wheels until you can secure proper tires for it, I dont want to hear about you curb rashing rims or debeding your tires. Also note that with that level of camber you will get seriously uneven tire wear, just something to keep in mind. So if you want that level of camber, rotate your tires frequently or be prepared to not get your full value out of your tires.

Lastly, is my personal opinion, while your front plate kit is cool.. I say take that thing off and roll with no plate. With that front lip you will be looking pretty spiffy with a clean no front plate look. If you get a fix it ticket for no plate, it is totally worth it if you ask me. Pop on your plate relocate kit get it signed off then take it back off.

Bitchin car

ReSpEcT aLl bUiLdS. no... just.... no. Doing this to an frs is offensive to me... sry if my opinion doesn't align with yours. I feel sorry for that poor car :(

James H 12-11-2019 04:15 PM

I hope that tire shop was smart enough to have you sign a waiver stating the car is for show only and not for public road driving. If anything happens to you, you or anyone else affected by the tires debeading can sue the tire shop. They should know better and they don't stand a chance in court for knowingly mounting those tires on the wheels!

sLOw caRs shOULd bE raCe cARs.

Camber isn't even bad on this car compared to other shit builds. The tires, yeah they don't fit, should be swapped for ones that fit, but I know a shit build when I see one. This car is fine.

Do you expect every person that buys this car to be some track fanatic? Not everyone that drives this car is part of the wannabe race driver cult you're in. Don't forget that this car goes used for around $15k for the early models. It's slow. It's cheap. It is not a dedicated track car. It is a bargain.

If you want to complain about stance, go whine on some civic forums.

Yeah, because safety has nothing to do with a daily driver.

beltax90 12-11-2019 11:13 PM

do you, op!

Boccaccio 12-13-2019 08:07 AM

Setting aside the dangerous tyre fitment and screwed up roll centres due to excessive suspension drop, it looks very nice :)

@OP, me personally, I would tint the foglights with a green hue :)
