Going to relocate it either behind the IC or to the side instead as I've read it'll heat soak if in front.

I've got mine mounted behind the intercooler toward the passenger side. Be aware of the ambient temperature sensor as it will also catch some heat soak causing you to throw a CEL. I wish I had pics of the way I mounted mine for reference.
