MrBodyMassage's WRB BRZ

History on me: 25 year old ginger medical student from Memphis, TN. I got a 1994 Toyota MR2 turbo when I turned 16 and this is her replacement. My dad, brother, and I are crazy about cars, mostly of the European variety. I watched this with interest from the first concept car... and here I am today.

What to say that hasn't been said? Having been blessed enough to have driven many high performance cars throughout my lifetime, I can say this one is playing ball way above it's league. I flew to Manchester, NH to purchase this BRZ Limited manual from Manchester Subaru. Plug for them: If you're still looking for a BRZ, call them. They have a very high allotment comparatively, and they don't sell crazy fast like everywhere else because nobody in the northeast wants a RWD Subaru. Also, they sell at MSRP. Ask for Bob Broyer and tell him Will from Tennessee sent you.

I guess some surprises or points of note:

1. Exponentially more beautiful in person than in pictures.
2. The black bumper bar is not a distracting styling element in person.
3. The Navigation system has been great to me. Seems to be accurate and it has the exit signs above you.
4. The seats are wonderful. Seriously. In aesthetics, comfort, and materials. My father is used to sports cars and he loves these seats as much as anything else he's ever sat in.
5. The sound tube sounds tremendous to me. I seem to be in the minority though.
6. Wheels are very attractive in person.
7. The handling is otherworldly for a ~$25k starting price for this chassis. Do not underestimate the ability of this car to make seemingly mundane corners fun.
8. Body roll is a non-issue.
9. The plastics do seem to mark rather easily. Be mindful and you'll be fine.
10. All passengers giggle and say, "It feels like a roller coaster!"

The turn in on this car is electric. It leaps between corners. This car is truly the anti muscle car. Build quality seems great; the doors close with a solid thunk. The technology on the BRZ Limited is wonderful. I give top marks to the auto climate control and the keyless start. You can tell they really sweated the small details on this car, like the stitched padding on the doors. I get stares everywhere I go, and it's a wonderful long distance cruiser. I can attest to this as I was in the car for 24 hours straight from NH to TN. I'm getting 33mpg on the interstate and mid to high 20's in town. The acceleration is more than ample; don't worry about power. If anyone has any questions, fire away.

I love my FR-S, but I have to say I wouldn't mind having that Lamborghini for the weekends. Good to hear that you enjoy your BRZ though!

Love the picture of the three cars in the garage! I as well am a medical student. Still finishing my prerequisites for the nursing program. I would very much like to treat myself to a brz once schools over. =) Great color choice sir.

It's been a nice option to have to say the least. It is so powerful that you almost can't floor it on the street. It is surprisingly civil and easy to drive on the street though, as long as you pay attention to your massive blind spots.

Thanks man! Good luck to you, and you'll have one before you know it.

What colors are you looking at? I think SWP and GBS look exceptional, but this blue just pops in person.

The turning is amazing on the Subaru. I drove the Impreza and I love the electric steering. Although, I got used to taking my hands off the steering wheel on my current car, I had trouble doing that on the Impreza cuz its too easy to turn that it would turn itself (I think). I was afraid to take my hands off while moving for more than 3 seconds.
