Difficulty going into 1st and 2nd gear when car is warmed up
 

Been searching the forum and online for anyone with a similar problem as mine but have not found anything

When the car is warmed up, after reaching a stop, I become locked out of 1st gear and sometimes 2nd gear. For whatever reason, if I go to any other gear and then return back to 1st, it goes into gear. This does not happen all the time but probably 1/3 of the time I come to a stop. When the car is cold, the problem does not exist. Any ideas as to what the solution or problem would be?

I have tried adjusting the reverse lockout plate within the shifter but that did not seem to fix the issue. Planning on trying a tranny fluid swap since I haven't changed my tranny fluid in a few years.

For reference, I have about 55k miles, about 5k miles since my ACT HDSS clutch kit w/ streetlite flywheel has been installed. Daily driven. 1 track day since the ACT clutch was installed. Stock drivetrain with the exception of the ACT clutch

It sure sounds like that "shifter gate plate", or whatever it's called, is out of whack.

I'm gonna summon our shifter expert, ol @Ultramaroon for his thoughts.

Is the "shifter gate plate" the same thing as the reverse lockout plate? If so, I did try adjusting that.

Posted this on some gt86 facebook groups and a couple people are stating they have this same problem with their ACT clutch so might look like its a somewhat common occurrence with ACT clutches

But im open to any advice for a solution

It's most likely the clutch. Have it checked by the person who installed it.
