Traffic Warrior, DD FRS - Seattle, WA
Hello Everyone,
After searching for nearly a month for a FRS I was fortunate enough to stumble across one while driving. So the story goes... I've always wanted a FRS and came close to buying one on multiple occasions but the deals always fell threw.. fast forward a few years, my E92 M3 is racking on the miles so I figured it was time to pick up a car to daily and park the M3. I came across this car driving pass a Toyota dealership. I'm pretty picky when it comes to condition and value. Luckily this satisfied both! Although I'm not the biggest fan of ultramarine blue, I think its a color that I will grow to like. My primary purpose for the car is commuting but.. If I'm was being honest, I see full bolt on's, tune, coilovers and wheels in the near future. As well as a few track days at the Ridge. We'll see. Congrats! I like the color. Mine is similar, Oceanic. I have yet to see another one on the road in Ultramarine or Oceanic.
Has yours had and survived the recall work for the '13s? |
Hello from a fellow Seattlite! Would love to hear your thoughts on the FRS vs. your old S2000s.

Wanna buy some of my stuff? Most of it is track-focused, but I have a 2.5" resonated perrin catback that needs a new home :threadjacked:

I've only put about 50 miles on the FRS so I will provide an update with a more thorough analysis in the future. But so far, I've noticed the handling it somewhat similar. Steering in the both cars feel sharp and precise. I will say the FRS feels a lot easier to control, the AP2 would feel sketchy at times. The main difference I've noticed is definitely the power delivery, in the AP2 there was a lack in torque but the top end of the powerband was pretty nice. In the FRS, the low end power is a lot more apparent but the top end kind of falls off. I plan on going forced induction at some point. Most likely, in a year or two because I want to enjoy the motor in its stock form for a while. Overall, I'm loving the FRS. The fuel economy is amazing and the chassis is nimble. Definitely a fun daily! |

I had a buddy with an AP1 but sadly he was such a twitchy driver I never could get a feeling for the car's potential. Unnesesarily violent shifting. I'm also interested in a future comparison. Those Hondas have aged really well. Yours look fantastic. Great colors. :)
