That holds true until the diarrhea sets in.

@Ultramaroon - go here in vegas - https://www.yelp.com/biz/secret-pizza-las-vegas

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I'm just looking forward to nabbing a big fucking greasy old school slice because that does not exist up here in the PNW. It's one of those things that East Coast pizza lovers take for granted. Perfect thin crust, just the right amount of cheese & sauce...

You're not wrong. First time I tried pizza on the west coast was a shock.

Not even close. I was just there a couple of months ago. This goes for most things in LV. IMO

I've been to NYC thrice and never had the pizza. Bagels and other delicacies, yes, but pizza, no.

In the SF Bay Area, for NY style, it's Arinell Pizza - https://www.yelp.com/biz/arinell-pizza-berkeley-2

But the best pizza is supposedly at Cheese Board, which I've never been to. https://www.yelp.com/biz/cheese-board-pizza-berkeley

Then there's Zachary's, which is really my favorite. Sort of Chicago style. - https://www.yelp.com/biz/zacharys-chicago-pizza-oakland

People say Patxi's has authentic Chicago style in the Bay Area, but I was not impressed. I've also never been to Chicago. https://www.yelp.com/biz/patxis-pizza-lafayette

In my experience, NYC style pizza is crap. However, I've never had the real thing, so I dunno.

Yes. We left in a rush since had to pick up the new car. Found a Walmart and have a new wardrobe. Can’t go wrong with $11 jeans.

Why couldn't it have been 86ish??

There is good pizza everywhere. When I quit my first job I rented an apartment in Rome for three months and attended a language school. To be honest the more you try the more it all tastes the same. There are some great pizza joints here in the Pacific Northwest as well. One of my favorites is a cream sauce with salmon, red onions, and capers. In Rome I kept going back for different variations of carbonara, with prosciutto, egg, cheese, black pepper, etc.

My experience in Italy was just the opposite. The one time I ordered pizza in Venice, it tasted like someone spread catsup on a piece of flat, stale bread and sprinkled some cheese on it.
