Heated Seats Temp Range

I thought I had previously found some concrete info showing that Subaru swapped to warmer heated seats after the 2013 models. Does anyone have any info to corroborate this for the BRZ seats? There are plenty of threads talking about people being unhappy with how warm they get (and then other people saying they're fine). I would like to have some seats that get a bit warmer.

This is a quote from the 2013 TechTips
Quote:

Subaru vehicles 2013MY and prior equipped with seat heaters generally have an operating range of
86 degrees F to 104 degrees F. See the March, 2003 issue of TechTlPS for information on older style
seat heaters. The 2014 Forester seat heaters have a different operating range. The 2014 Forester seat
heaters come on at 98.6 degrees F. and shut down at 109.4 Degrees

first time I've ever seen an actual temperature range for any heated seat. Usually the issue is more about where they actually heat vs actual temperature.

i've been waiting for the seats to get cheap enough that i can get a heated seat to take apart so i can figure out how to make mine actually heat up better, and put them back together.

i've got a heated seat cover that i put in the pickup truck for the winter, it works twice as well as the car. i just need to even out the fleet and make them work the same!

Japanese cars in my experience have seat "warmers" while European cars have butt "toasters" with more levels of adjustability from warm to ass on fire.

I'd prefer mine to stay a bit warmer. I know I've been in cars that have had a warmer seat. I can leave mine on either setting and never really find myself thinking they've gotten too hot (at least not on an actual cold day). Rather, as the high cycles through it's more like "is it still on?"

if the windows are down, the air circulation is enough to make them hot. i keep meaning to add fans underneath to make them do it all the time.

My problem is not the temp of the seats but the duration they stay on.
