Meet Lightning McQueen
 

First a little background about myself. I am 30 years old, married to a beautiful wife, and we have two kids: a 3.5 year old girl and a 1.5 year old boy.

Today I finally got the call from the shipping company that my BRZ was about to be delivered. I raced home from work excited as a little school boy.

As I got near the target shopping center I was greeted by this site:

Leo my delivery driver was awesome and made sure that everything was perfect.

As soon as I was done signing papers I jumped into the seat and took off for some curvy roads near my home.

All I can say is WOW. This car put a smile on my face so large I felt like it was the first time I kissed my wife. You just knew it was something special.

After about 40 minutes of a joy ride I went back home to show the wifey and my son the new car.

I swear this next moment is one of the greatest I have ever had in my young life as a father. As soon as my son came out and saw the car he immediately began shouting "lightning lightning lightning!" My son a huge fan of the cars movies from Pixar thought I had just bought THE Lightning McQueen.

From that moment on I knew the name of my car, and even my daughter is begging to go for a ride in Lightning.

It even helps that it matches the name of the color :).

Congrats on the new BRZ I love mine and i agree the car does put a smile on your face. I have to kids of my own and if given a choice between dad's car and Mom's Car... DAD'S Car Wins every time. Have fun with your New Lightning McQueen

That's the first red brz I've seen delivered...must be rare

Shipped from Subaru superstore in AZ. I bought the car on the 24th over the phone. The next morning my salesperson told me the windows were tinted. Didn't ask for it but I have to admit they came out great. Got a decent price for the tint through the dealer.

Seems that way on the west coast. On the east coast I believe there are more.

Make sure you take lots of pics and vid of your kids (and car, of course). They grow up so fast.

I told my wife that I am passing my future BRZ on to my oldest when he turns 16. He is only 8 right now! I figured a BRZ for a 16 yr old would be cool and an 8 yr old car hopefully will not be too expensive to insure!
