2014 FR-S Audio System Not Working

Hey all,

I've got a 2014 Scion FR-S with a stock Pioneer head unit and sound system. Recently it decided not to play music anymore.

The unit gets power, because it shows the Scion logo when I start the car. Lights also work. After the head unit boots up, the screen goes black. From here it will let me tweak the settings, but won't go into the Bluetooth or phone settings. Any time I try to press audio to get to either my phone via Bluetooth or the radio, the screen goes black. Navigation also does not work.

My phone also says it's connected to "car multimedia", so the phone itself is connecting to the unit even if it won't show anything. Tried looking at the fuses, looked at 15 and 21 according to the fuse box diagram. 15 looked good, but 21 was blown so that was replaced. Still the same.

Any suggestions? Appreciate the help!

I'd figure out what circuit fuse 21 protects and start looking around for damage. Fuses don't just go boom in 99.999% of situations. Something caused it to blow; likely some wire is shorted to some other wire.
