Can you buy fender garnishes pre-painted?
 

I got some unpainted 2017 BRZ fender garnishes and had a recommended shop paint them. They came out pretty bad. You can see here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136578


I went back and had them 'fix' them, but they are honestly worse now. The shop told me that is the best they could do.


I went to another paint shop and they recommended I get some new ones pre-painted or find some used ones. I don't think there is a used set of Crystal Black Silica 2017+ BRZ fender trims for sale on the entire planet.


I went to a Subaru dealer and asked the parts department if they could be purchased pre-painted and they said no. I'm not 100% confident they are correct, though.


Does anyone know where you can buy new pre-painted 2017+ BRZ fender garnishes?

^ That's not a bad price! I have over $300 into my used set.

All the oem sti garnishes are prepainted. Ft86 carries the older style and japan parts carry the new 2017+ sti style.

He ended up grabbing my OEM set since I'm now on TRD fins and have a pair of replacement STi garnishes if I end up selling the TRDs.

I contacted FT86SF about those and they said the 'STI' badge was not removable. Did not really want the STI branding on my Toyota.

That is right about what I ended up paying.

I am going to sell both my stock FR-S fender garnishes and my not perfect 2017 BRZ ones to recoup the cost.

Some people seem to think that is way too much to pay because a used set can be had on ebay for like $150.

It cost me like $70 each + $80 to get the first set I had painted ($220 total) and they did not come out good enough, imho.

Wish I would have just spent the $300 in the first place.

Yeah, I paid 250 for a set used of WRB BRZ garnishes and 50 for paint supplies. I painted them myself.
They turned out nice.
