The Apex Files - new instagram magazine from RCE
 

Sooo...I'm trying this new thing in conjunction with RCE.

Think of it as an instagram only news/opinion/tech magazine and eventually a podcast. No sensationalist garbage, just perspective from a couple people that have been in the aftermarket and racing world for decades.

I've always loved writing, but I've had fewer opportunities to talk about what I really think of the aftermarket and OEMs. I also got tired of the usual click-bait car journalism (with a few exceptions). So we're doing our own thing, mostly just for fun at this point.

It's also an opportunity to talk through some tech concepts in a way that's both easy to understand and useful. That's something I really enjoy doing and hope to focus on more as we get followers.

Give us a follow if you're interested...there's going to be some pretty cool stuff coming soon!

Also I'm happy to listen to feedback. I've gone through the scientific peer review process multiple times so I can take it. :) This is a different venue for me but I'm kinda excited about seeing where it can go.

I have a feeling the tech articles might be more popular here...but every time I'm about to finish a tech post, some ridiculous Subaru news drops and I have to save it for later. I swore that the first 2 posts weren't going to be about Subarus. :lol:

Honest feedback?

Are there not enough places spreading rumours on the "news" about the BRZ and STi? To present the topics as "news" you are doing the same as the click baits. All you will have on the topics are the same old speculation and debates on yet another media format.

That's true! And partially why I didn't want the first 2 posts to be about Subaru rumors, but the "news" hit when they did. I tried to take a different approach and say that most of the rumors were probably garbage (with my own speculation). But I agree, I don't want to focus on news/rumors as much. When I do talk about them, it will always be through a critical lens.
