Clutch Squeal When Engaging
Hey guys,
I'm starting to hear a weird noise with my clutch and I want to get your thoughts on it, I'll try to take a video of it later today. I'll start by saying its an FX400 clutch on my turbo'd brz. I've had it on for about 2500 miles now and this noise just came up within the last 100 or so. The TOB was replaced with a 2017 one along with a verus clutch fork and pivot when I did the clutch. I can best describe the noise as a squeal. Sounds most like tire squeal or maybe belt squeal. It only happens as I'm engaging the clutch from a stop. If I lug the motor I can get it to stay quiet but when I try to take off from 2K rpm I get this squeal. Let me know your thoughts on this. TIA |
I had the same noise you're describing, although my car is not turbo and I have stock clutch. After much arguing with my Toyota dealer, they figured out that the new belt that had recently been installed in my car was making all the noise
