Front Axle Oil ?

Hi,

Just want to confirm.

Beside the Engine/Transmission/Diff Oil,
is there any other oil that need to replace ... eg. Front Axle ?

Thanks

Do you have the AWD BRZ?

extrashaky 09-24-2019 12:58 PM

You don't really need to worry about the oil in the front differential unless you have driven through high water with the breather tube disconnected.

Haven't peek underneath. :D

You mean only the "driving or powered" axle need oil replacement ?

CoolHandMoss 09-24-2019 01:38 PM

If you care about your car you should go ahead and do the front axle fluid and the blinker fluid at the same time. Don't forget the muffler bearings too.

Only the powered wheels have axles...

To be fair, OP may have just said "front axles" as an example... or he may be referring to a different car entirely. :iono:

To add to this, check to see if your brake calipers allow you to see your pads, and make sure your powered mirror does something. If not, your BRZ is literally the worst piece of shit car ever made, and you should burn it and buy something else.

Don’t forget to keep your blinker fluid full! It goes in the end of the turn signal stalk.

BMW’s run around with theirs empty all the time, never see the turn signals work.

Would also help to check the rear view mirror to see if it does anything fancy. If not, then it’s truly the WORST car EVER.

In all seriousness, just follow the required services by mileage OP. Other than the ones you listed, I think the only other fluid or oil service would be the brake fluid

KR-S 09-24-2019 04:27 PM

Can't quote you, but I already got that rear view mirror covered. Still good to see if maybe the side mirrors shoot double rainbows or something.
