2017 BRZ - Canadian edition

Hi all,

New member, new to me BRZ owner of a 2017 Canadian model. I've read several threads regarding non-NA head units to be swapped and multiple issues with wiring for full functionality.

Has anyone had a successful swap with newer HU without any huge headaches. My car has an OEM+ Audio Reference 450Q and want to get the sound it deserves and find the stock HU cumbersome and missing the quality. I'm hoping for a success story that I haven't seen posted here.

Anyone try a Pioneer AVH-2400NEX?

Grady did the swap and posted the information here.

I have the OEM+ Reference 500Q and a Pioneer MVH-2300NEX. The radio works well and has Android Auto and Apple Car Play. I bought a pre-made harness and a steering wheel controller from Metra. I think the Pioneer option is the easier and possibly cheaper route.

This adapter will save you some time if you're installing the MVH 2400NEX:

Basically, it's got most of the wiring to the pioneer connector done for you.
