Alternative brz transmissions

Hey guys I’m looking for alternative manual transmissions for the brz. I’m making 500whp and need something that will hold up. Of course cheap would be great but the most important thing would be strength. I would like a list that have been swapped and what people thought of each one. Thanks for any info

Rattles like crazy with a solid hub clutch.
Make sure it doesn't hit the body anywhere. It's 10x times louder if it touches.
Shifts great, huge gears inside, cheap at the junk yards, shorter than Oem and if you give up on the fa20, bell housings are available for 2jz, sr20, and LS style engines.

Make sure you get the Cd009 or newer. They have the better syncronizers.

im thinking about going all out and doing a sequential.

sequential boxes with straight cut gears can handle loads of torque and gear switch is bliss .. but imho will make car not DD usable. Very loud gear whine .. i'd be ok with such on track, but certainly not hearing all the time, especially in long drives.

They have helical cut gear options that will easily handle my power plus another 300hp. That would pretty much eliminate the gear whine. My car is not a daily driver and hasn’t been for awhile. I always wanted a sequential but never thought to much about them because I had no need for one but now that I have to do something with the trans I’m seriously thinking about it.

This what I wanna eventually put in mine:

It's still helical but slightly less than stock.

It’s been awhile. I ended up going sequential with a Quaife 69g. A few things had to be modified to make it fit in the car. The transmission works great! The harder you ouch the car the smoother the shifting is.
