Just buy a full exhaust

What are you looking to get out of the exhaust? If you just want a sound adjustment, I definitely support an axle back. If you're looking for power, a catback is the last place you want to be.

Best setup in my opinion - Catless headers, factory exhaust except muffler delete. Even without the muffler delete and stock catback, it sounds decent if you just change the headers.

Just something mild, deep not loud when cruising no drone, sounds nice at high RPM’s I daily my car and got some sensitive neighbours so yenno don’t want to be super loud ;)
My car is fully stock I don’t plan to add headers anytime soon but it can change down the road

I have the Touring axleback. I love the sound. Not too loud and no drone. I wouldn’t want it any louder myself which could be a problem if I get a header

Despite what I recently have seen posted the quality is there. No regrets.

Look into the Nameless muffled axleback. You may find your answer there

Nameless does not have a simple muffled axleback for BRZ. It requires a downpipe + axleback, no?

Based on OP's comments, Borla Touring is an easy, good way to go. I'm happy with mine. It is significantly louder than stock on cold start-up, so your neighbors might not love you, but otherwise it suits your criteria perfectly. Here's mine: [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDYm1dYENwA[/ame]

Its nice you wont regret it. I have the Touring as well paired with a catless front pipe and its pretty deep sound.

I have one, slant-cut tips look great and still super quiet, even at WOT (intake is louder than the exhaust from the cabin).

I only bought it because I got a great deal on it, otherwise I would've gone Nameless axleback but I'm happy with the Borla.

I have high flow filter in addition to Borla Touring and it made the in-cabin intake sound pretty loud. I plugged up the sound tube and it sounds way better now. Only hear the exhaust in cabin and not much of it below 4k rpm.

I have it and sounds great with windows down. With windows up much lower sound but still hear it there. Sometimes I wish It was a tad louder. I would have picked up the nameless but got a decent deal on the borla.

No that's a muffler delete. As in much louder than Borla Touring. The muffled version on their site is sold with a pipe and is $1k

There is an option with 5" mufflers in that setup :bonk:

Muffler Options:

No Mufflers: This is also known as a Muffler Delete. This is louder than the other two options for obvious reasons, but still sounds good. In cabin noise is greater than that of the muffled options as well. This option is good if you want the "race car" sound with out the unfinished "race car" look and you are not planning on upgrading other portions of your exhaust. A Caveat here, if you are sensitive to noise or don't like loud exhaust, this option is not for you.

5" Mufflers: The dimensions of these hand built mufflers are 5" diameter with a body length of 8" and offset inlet/outlet. These mufflers are the best option for a nice smooth exhaust note. The tone is nice and deep with volume being mellow with stock exhaust otherwise. When you decide to upgrade to an aftermarket downpipe or overpipe/downpipe combo, this exhaust really comes alive while remaining deep and smooth sounding. This axleback even keeps the volume down at a tolerable level with our catless header.
