How many miles did it have on it btw?

And I really didn't have crap to do that day and I had to drive an hour each way to the dealer so I decided to make the most of it. :D

That's nice the salesman let you do that. I had told mine that I was definitely going to buy one, but not the one I test drove b/c it wasn't in the color I wanted. He got a phone call (probably fake) saying that other people wanted to test drive it, so unless I wanted to buy that exact car we need to head back to the dealership. When we got there, there was another salesman waiting with two confused guys asking me how it went. We went inside, noticed the other people went to test drive a Corolla, but the FR-S was gone. Went back outside to get into my car and saw that they just moved the FR-S to another spot. Sleazy... It goes without saying, but that's why I'm not buying my FR-S from them.

That's what my wife did, just sayin'. :)

We bought her an 8th gen Civic Si with a 6 speed and she learned how to drive it in the evenings until she was comfortable driving it in traffic. Still proud of her for it.

Well I keep asking my boyfriend to take me out in his older than mine Corolla, but it hasn't happened yet. We tried in his previous beater car (Honda Civic), but he started smelling the clutch and told me we needed to stop.

I'm not very proactive about asking anymore as he reminded me.

What I did when they were first being released in May was an inventory search of all the Scion dealerships in Texas. I took down the dealership information for those with FR-S listed that were MT and in any color but black. I called the few closest to me looking to test drive them and found out the cars were still in transit for delivery to the dealerships. Gave both my contact information and got a call the next day from one of them - took immediaty off work and went to test drive it.

When I arrived at the dealership the other one called and said theirs came in...told them currently I was looking at another one but would contact them if it did't work out. Immediately after the first test drive I bought the FR-S. Dealership was a little sad because it was bought basically right after they received it. I actually left it at the dealership for two days until I could pick it up to bring it home, which was May 25th. This was both to let others see it in the showroom and let me get my garage ready for it.

No worries! Just thought I'd throw that out there in case you needed one quickly. Automatic FR-S models seem to be in-stock at a couple of dealers in the DMV area, good hunting man.

I've been calling dealership after dealership and nobody knows when they're getting their allocations in so I can't even put my name down for a car. I am ending week 2 of this journey and I just want to give myself a reality check of when I can expect to get into my FR-S. Thoughts???

I see youre in Chantilly, I work in Sterling. I went to Koons Tysons Toyota (in Tyson's Corner) and ordered my Whiteout A/T FR-S on 7/3 and it was here on 7/14. Picked it up on 7/16. Had 9mi when I drove it off the lot and they were from driving to the gas station and back. Definitely give them a call, ask for Leo (he is the one that handled my order). He got me my car in 2 weeks when i thought itd be over a month. Plus, theyre the biggest allocated dealer in the area so theyd be your quickest option, most likely :)

interesting. we just left there with such a bad taste from the salesman trying to push the asphalt one on us. he also tried to throw technical details at us that were complete bullshit.
