I'm planning on trying scca next season, from my understanding i'm CSP. If someone can confirm. :iono:

17x8 enkei wheel with maxxis rc-1

The Maxxis RC-1 tires definitely put you in CSP.
The duckbill spoiler is also included for CSP.
The rest of your mods are Street Touring mods.
Against Miatas, doubt you’ll be competitive. But you sure will have fun trying.

Catless FP+Catless headers is also an SP/SM mod. You need to keep one cat for ST*

Edit: Try it out, if you get hooked and want to start building competitive SP it will be a blast, but cutting fenders for some 295 or 315 wide Hoosiers will be a commitment, 'demodding' by removing the 3 things that put you into Street Prepared can get you into a more competitive class with STX (remove spoiler, put stock FP back in, 200TW tires on 17x9's) and you've already got yourself most of a build with some suspension and alignment tuning. Also, be aware that with RC-1 tires, your grip levels are very high, which puts extra strain on your half shafts. It has been known for them to blow out.

half shaft is axles ? i got the wheels used and the tires came with it. 2/32 left. I have some 200 thread wear tires waiting after that.

dam, i don't wanna remove the little duckbill. i do have 200tw tires and front pipe.

Local events, I doubt anyone will complain. Unless your a blazing fast and natural driver.
Then they might complain. Seen that.
If you go to a National event, pretty much a given.

I’ve been told that once I do crack (R comps) I’ll never go back. Lol. I went for a run in a Factory Five roadster with A7’s. It wasn’t how fast the driver was, it was how quick his reaction were and how much craziness was in him. They had that much grip.
With that little tread left, run them enjoy them and them put on the 200’s and sigh.
I will try some one day.

Are you new to autocross or just looking to move into the SCCA realm of it? If you're new to autocross I strongly suggest you just do a year in whatever novice-like class your local region has before you get into the finer details of classing. It's always better to learn the car first before you build it for a particular spec.

If you're not new to autocross you should build yourself a list of parts you want to keep vs. parts you can tolerate getting rid of. See if that matches more closely to STX, SM, or CSP, create a budget for each, and then make those decisions. Also in none of the classes you're asking about is 17x8 wheels going to cut it. You need to go bigger or else you should just not worry about classing at this time.

I saw someone else got back to you on a lot of these items but I want to make clear that you must maintain a cat to be STX legal.

The wing can be sort of.... Overlooked. Alot of Street touring guys are running non legal lips and wings but it's generally seen as a "missable mod"
Now if you came in with 6 inches of clear plexiglass and risers off the back end that would bring some complaints. Hell in running sti/brz Ts stuff and hood louvers and no one really cares (I'm also not near top pack for running..)

I'm still new to it. I've done it 3 times but usually do double runs. I'm trying to get into SCCA just for fun and competition. I thought i have to be in a certain class. The car is my daily and i've done stuff to it just because i wanted to, not strictly for SCCA. So, i'm just wondering what class i fit into.

At nationals, we were told to anticipate the announcement of an import-based relatively open ruleset class in December. It would be a 200TW class.

If STX is too restrictive for you, that might be something of interest.

The wing isn't an issue in a local region event, if someone has an issue with it you can address it at that time. There are updates to this years rules that allow regions to be more lax on non functional "aero" mods in street touring.

I pray they call it it RICE for the class name/ :bonk:
