So when I try to turn my car on most of the it’ll crank but turn off immediately, sometimes it will stay on but the rpm hop from 1k-2k rapidly and I can’t accelerate even if the gas pedal is to the floor, what could it be? Battery was half life when I got it from a friend could it be that?

Sounds like you got an injector that's faulty. Take it to a shop to inspect the injectors, one of them is going to be the culprit.
