Grimmspeed 86 Oil Filler cap disappeared?
 

Several board members and myself have been following a thread very closely involving the Grimmspeed 86 Oil Filler cap they were planning to release. As of today, the thread has disappeared. Does anyone know if the idea has been dumped or was the thread just expired? It was ready for payment and pretty close to ship right before the thread was closed.

Pretty sure it has something to do with the new sponsorship requirement.
I was really looking forward to it, I was number 17 on the list.

My guess is that the thread was taken down due to new rules regarding vendor sponsorship. I'm sure we will still get our PM's when the caps are ready for sale/shipment.

Looks like the mods moved the thread to the Commercial Classified section and have it as "inactive" sounds like they are really enforcing the new rules.

I'm sure that grimmspeed is still running it...they have done most of the hard work already. On a related note, I don't mind the new rules...but I don't think that they should be applied retroactively, i.e. to group buys that are already in progress. It is frustrating to have money tied up in a thread that is no longer available to even look at.

You could always just go to the Grimspeed site and contact them. I like the new vendor rules, but I do hope that Grimmspeed decides to sponsor. I think they have been a very positive presence here.
